What is VAT Relief?

Certain products, including adjustable beds, can be sold without VAT if the customer is eligible. This is called VAT relief. It is designed to make essential items more affordable for people living with a long-term illness or disability.

Who is Eligible?

You may qualify for VAT relief if:

You have a chronic illness or disability (for example: arthritis, MS, diabetes, or mobility impairments).

The product you are purchasing is for your own personal or domestic use.

You do not qualify if:

The product is bought for temporary use.

The product is purchased for someone else who is not eligible.

The product is for business or commercial use.

How to Claim VAT Relief

Add your adjustable bed (or other qualifying product) to your basket.

At checkout, you will be asked to complete a simple VAT relief declaration form confirming your eligibility.

Once completed, VAT will not be charged on your order.

We are required by HMRC to keep this declaration on file. No doctor’s letter is needed – just your confirmation.

Important Information

Giving false information is an offence.

We keep all VAT relief forms securely for 6 years as required by HMRC.
